Al Ansari and Al Amri Triumph at Qatar Equestrian Tour
DOHA: The Qatar Equestrian Tour, known as the Longines Hathab, commenced its fourth round on March 15, 2024, at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s outdoor arena. The three-day competition kicked off with the Amateur (100cm) and Bronze (120cm) rounds, showcasing top equestrian talent from the region.
Highlights from the Opening Events
In the Amateur category, Ali Omar Al Ansari emerged victorious, completing his round in an impressive time of 26.66 seconds on his horse, Nikita. He was followed closely by Maryam Abdul Karim Abdul riding Beyoncé, and Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani on Zion.
The Bronze event featured Jaber Rashid Al Amri taking the top position aboard Apollon, finishing in 57.05 seconds. Khalid Al Hadi secured both second and third places riding Capion and Carlton, respectively, highlighting his consistent performance.
Team Competition Results
The team competition saw The Dome clinching first place with a combined time of 115.19 seconds. They outperformed other teams, including Marwan Al Shaqab and Ajwad, further demonstrating their prowess in the sport.
As the competition continues today, spectators can expect more thrilling rounds and impressive performances from both amateur and professional riders. The Qatar Equestrian Tour remains a significant event in the equestrian calendar, drawing attention from equestrian enthusiasts and participants alike.
