Al Ansari and Al Amri Shine at Qatar Equestrian Tour

Doha hosted the opening round of the ninth edition of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab, which commenced at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s outdoor arena on March 15, 2024. The competition features three days of events, highlighting both amateur and bronze categories.
Outstanding Performances in Individual Events
The first day featured the Amateur (100cm) and Bronze (120cm) rounds. In the Amateur category, Ali Omar Al Ansari secured victory, completing his course aboard Nikita in an impressive time of 26.66 seconds. Following closely were Maryam Abdul Karim Abdul on Beyoncé and Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani on Zion, who took second and third places, respectively.
In the Bronze individual event, Jaber Rashid Al Amri showcased his skills riding Apollon, finishing first with a time of 57.05 seconds. Khalid Al Hadi claimed second and third places on Capion and Carlton, respectively, further demonstrating the competitive spirit of the event.
Team Competition Highlights
During the team competition, the squad known as The Dome clinched first place with a combined time of 115.19 seconds, outpacing teams such as Marwan Al Shaqab and Ajwad. This success adds to the excitement surrounding the ongoing Qatar Equestrian Tour.
As the competition continues, spectators can expect more thrilling rounds in the coming days. The event not only highlights the skills of the riders but also showcases the vibrant equestrian community in Qatar.
