McInnes Claims Qatar Off-Road Championship Title in Thrilling Finale
Doha, Qatar: The 2025 Qatar Off-Road Championship (QORC) reached an exhilarating conclusion in Dukhan, where Round 6 (Baja) showcased fast racing and fierce competition across the challenging desert landscape. A total of 22 bikes and 13 cars participated in the season finale, leading to remarkable performances from both new and seasoned competitors.
Alex McInnes emerged victorious in the overall bike category, securing not only the round win but also clinching the overall Motorsport title after a year marked by consistent and impressive results. His success capped off a remarkable campaign, highlighting his skills and resilience throughout the season.
Final Round Highlights and Category Champions
The event featured strong performances from several category winners, including Nasser Al Abdulla, Mohammed Al Kubaisi, and veteran rider Allan Ramsing. In the car section, Mohammed Al Marri and co-driver Szymon Gospodarczk topped the overall classification for the Dukhan round, showcasing their driving prowess and teamwork.
The conclusion of the championship also confirmed new titleholders in the various car categories. The Italian duo of Camelia Liparoti and Erika Mingozzi secured the Class 1 Cars championship title after a solid season, demonstrating their skill and determination on the circuit. In Class 2, Nouef Al Sowaidi and Lithuanian co-driver Aisvydas Paliukenas were crowned champions, while the Class 3 title went to Saudi racers Motab Al Shammari and Badr Al Hamdan.
The thrilling conclusion of the QORC not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the growing popularity of off-road racing in the region. As competitors and fans look ahead to the next season, the excitement generated by this year’s championship promises an even more competitive atmosphere in the future.
