Welsh singer and broadcaster Aled Jones is set to perform in New Zealand for the first time in May 2026, bringing his unique blend of storytelling and music to three cities. The concerts will take place in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, offering fans an intimate experience filled with songs and anecdotes that have shaped his illustrious career.
Jones, known for his enchanting treble voice as a child, gained fame with the iconic song “Walking in the Air” from the animated film The Snowman. Over the years, he has released an impressive 41 albums and achieved worldwide album sales exceeding 10 million. His accolades include multiple records that have gone silver, gold, and platinum, alongside performances for notable figures such as the Pope and the British Royal Family.
Concert Details and Personal Touches
During his New Zealand tour, which kicks off on May 6, 2026, at SkyCity Theatre in Auckland, Jones will offer fans a glimpse into his life and career. He will share behind-the-scenes stories and memorable moments, making each concert a personal experience. The tour continues with a show at Meow Nui in Wellington on May 7, followed by a performance at Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch on May 8.
