											The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) has officially announced the clubs that will participate in the 2025-2026 Gulf Club Champions League. This marks the second edition of the tournament, which aims to elevate the standard of football across Gulf nations.
Participating Clubs Represent Diverse Nations
A total of eight clubs have been selected by their respective national associations to compete in this prestigious tournament. The teams include Al Rayyan from Qatar, Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates, Sitra from Bahrain, Al Shabab from Saudi Arabia, Zakho from Iraq, Al Nahda from Oman, Tadamon Hadramaut from Yemen, and Al Qadisiya from Kuwait.
This tournament is not only a competition but also a platform for enhancing technical expertise and sharing best practices among the clubs participating in the region. The AGCFF seeks to foster a deeper level of professionalism and skill development within Gulf football.
Looking Back at the Inaugural Edition
The first edition of the Gulf Club Champions League wrapped up with Duhok SC of Iraq taking the title. Duhok triumphed over Al Qadisiya SC from Kuwait, winning 2-1 in the second leg of the final, following a goalless draw in the initial match. This victory set a high standard for the upcoming tournament, generating excitement among fans and players alike.
As preparations for the next season continue, the AGCFF remains committed to promoting competitive football and enriching the regional sporting landscape. The expectation is that the upcoming tournament will build on the successes of its predecessor and attract even greater attention from football enthusiasts across the Gulf region.
