Qatar’s U-18 Athletics Team Ready for Championship in Tunisia

Qatar’s national youth athletics team is preparing to compete in the 11th Arab U-18 Athletics Championships in Tunis, Tunisia, from August 23 to 27, 2025. This significant event will feature participants from various countries throughout the Arab world, showcasing the region’s emerging athletic talent.
The Qatari delegation will be led by Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, President of the Qatar Athletics Federation, who expressed optimism about the team’s prospects. Team Composition and Events
The delegation consists of ten promising athletes who will compete in multiple track and field events. The athletes include:
- Idris Abkar and Hussein Mohammed in the 110m hurdles
- Mubarak Saeed in the 1500m
- Samer Hussein in the 400m
- Timo Jumaa in the 100m and 200m hurdles
- Saleh Mahmoud in shot put and discus throw
- Younes Al Baloushi and Abdullah Al Abdullah in pole vault
