Splore Festival Returns to Auckland in February 2026 with Exciting Lineup
The long-awaited return of the Splore Festival will take place in Auckland from February 20 to 22, 2026, following a year-long hiatus. Known as New Zealand’s longest-running music and arts festival, Splore will be held at the scenic Tāpapa-kanga Regional Park, offering attendees a refreshed vision along with world-class musical acts across six stages.
Organisers are enthusiastic about reintroducing the festival, which aims to maintain its core values while integrating new spaces, celebrations, and exhibitions. The event promises to create a vibrant temporary coastal community for festival-goers to enjoy.
Headlining the festival will be the acclaimed Norwegian electronic duo, Röyksopp, who will perform their first show in New Zealand in 14 years. The duo, nominated for two Grammy Awards since their debut in 1998, is known for their innovative sound and engaging live performances. Their appearance at Splore comes after a series of sold-out shows in Australia, where they have captivated audiences with their unique style. They are set to deliver a two-hour DJ set that is expected to be a highlight of the festival.
The festival experience is designed to appeal to a diverse audience, featuring all-ages programming that encourages community participation and artistic expression. Attendees can look forward to an array of performances, art installations, and interactive experiences that reflect the festival’s commitment to creativity and inclusivity.
As preparations continue, the organisers are prioritising sustainability and community engagement, ensuring that the festival aligns with its environmental values. The return of Splore is anticipated to not only celebrate music and arts but also foster a sense of connection among attendees and local communities.
With the festival’s exciting lineup and innovative vision, Splore 2026 is poised to make a significant impact on the Auckland cultural landscape. As the event draws closer, anticipation is building for what promises to be a memorable celebration of music, art, and community.
