Parents Naomi and Darcy Gilbert became the first residents of the Housing Foundation’s new development near Tauranga, allowing them to secure a four-bedroom home for their blended family of nine children.

The Gilberts officially moved into their home in July 2023. Naomi expressed excitement about this new chapter, stating, “We’ve absolutely loved it.” The family has embraced their new living situation, with two of their children joining the couple in the home while four others visit every third weekend, creating a bustling atmosphere.
