Katrina Bungard Aims for Continued Leadership in Pakuranga

Katrina Bungard, a long-serving member of the Howick Local Board, is campaigning for re-election in the Pakuranga subdivision. With over a decade of experience, she intends to maintain her focus on essential community services, fiscal responsibility, and sustainable growth.

Bungard, who previously served as deputy chair, emphasizes the importance of core services in her campaign. “Core services must come first,” she states. “That means protecting weekly rubbish collection, keeping public spaces safe and clean, and ensuring our local facilities are properly maintained.” Her commitment to these foundational aspects reflects her understanding of their direct impact on residents’ daily lives.

Her educational background is complemented by her strong governance credentials; she is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and holds master’s degrees in Public Policy and Educational Leadership, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Specialist Teaching.
