Kingdee International Software Group Company Limited has inaugurated its regional headquarters at the Ras Bufontas Free Zone in Qatar. This significant development was announced in conjunction with the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), marking Kingdee’s strategic entry into the Middle East market. The partnership aims to enhance digital solutions and bolster Qatar’s innovation ecosystem.

According to a QFZ press release, this milestone positions Qatar as a critical hub for investment in emerging technologies. The inauguration ceremony also featured the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Kingdee and QFZ, aimed at developing advanced digital solutions in Qatar and the surrounding region.

Strategic Cooperation and Future Initiatives

The signed agreement outlines plans to conduct a feasibility study for establishing an innovation ecosystem and a center of excellence in Qatar. It also emphasizes the importance of encouraging Kingdee’s partners and suppliers to set up operations in the free zones. Furthermore, the collaboration seeks to engage with research and academic institutions to support national capacity building and attract local talent.

HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of QFZ, expressed confidence in Kingdee’s decision to establish a regional base in Qatar, stating, “This is a strong validation of Qatar’s ability to attract pioneering international companies at the forefront of modern technology.” He highlighted the advantages of Qatar’s cutting-edge infrastructure and investment opportunities in the free zones, which will facilitate Kingdee’s growth and success in the region.

President of Kingdee Group, Jason Zhang, emphasized the strategic significance of Qatar as an economic hub in the Middle East and its role in the Belt and Road Initiative. He commented, “The open policies of QFZ, the global perspective of QIA, and the strategic efforts of Invest Qatar have created tremendous opportunities for us to base in Qatar, radiate across the Gulf region, and go global.” Zhang reaffirmed Kingdee’s commitment to integrating global digital technologies with management expertise to empower local enterprises.

Supporting Qatar’s Digital Transformation Goals

Founded in 1993, Kingdee is recognized as a global leader in enterprise management cloud SaaS solutions. The establishment of Kingdee in Qatar aligns with the strategic goals of Qatar’s National Digital Agenda 2030, aiming to deliver “AI-driven + cloud-native” digital transformation solutions. This initiative is set to enable local enterprises to advance from “digitalization” to “intelligentization,” fostering growth in Qatar’s technology sector.

With this strategic move, Kingdee is poised not only to expand its footprint in the Middle East but also to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital innovation in Qatar. The collaboration between Kingdee and QFZ underscores a shared vision of advancing the region’s technological landscape.
