Serious Crash Closes State Highway 51 in Clive, Four Injured

A serious two-car collision in Clive, a town in Hawke’s Bay, has resulted in the closure of State Highway 51. The accident occurred at approximately 19:50 on October 15, 2023, at the intersection of State Highway 51 and Farndon Road. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene following reports of the crash.
Hato Hone St John, the emergency medical service, deployed three ambulances along with a rapid response vehicle to assist those involved. According to reports, one individual was transported to hospital in a moderate condition. Two others were en route to medical facilities in serious condition, while one additional person remained at the scene after the incident.
