Huawei Launches Upgraded Xinghe WAN Solution to Enhance Network Intelligence

Huawei has introduced its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution at the “AI-Powered WAN, Digital-Intelligent Future” roundtable during HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 in Shanghai on September 20, 2025. This enhanced solution aims to empower businesses to accelerate network monetization and improve industry intelligence through a deterministic experience built on a robust IP network foundation.
Addressing Critical WAN Challenges
During the event, John Cai, President of the Router Domain at Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, highlighted four significant challenges currently facing Wide Area Networks (WANs). First, the global push for digitalization necessitates the elimination of data silos to achieve seamless network convergence. Second, emerging services require enhanced bandwidth and reduced latency to function effectively. Third, traditional networks struggle with packet loss rates as low as 0.1%, which can reduce computing efficiency by up to 50%. Finally, advancements in quantum computing technologies pose a threat to the security of conventional networks.
To tackle these pressing issues, the Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution offers four core capabilities. The first is all-service convergence, facilitated by slicing and SRv6, which ensures service isolation and reduces provisioning times to just minutes. The second capability is a deterministic network that leverages AI to achieve over 95% accuracy in identifying encrypted flows, allowing for automatic detection of issues like video conference freezes.
Innovative Features and Collaborations
The solution also includes a high-computing-efficiency WAN, where a flow awareness engine can identify 99% of elephant flows, and intelligent scheduling increases throughput to 90%. Additionally, the Starnet lossless algorithm enables long-distance transmission with zero packet loss, maintaining below 5% computing efficiency loss. The Starnet vector engine further enhances security by safeguarding sensitive information.
Intrinsic security is another critical feature, with quantum-resistant encryption and Xsec simplifying deployment for secure networks capable of transmitting confidential data.
At the roundtable, various customers and partners shared their success stories. Mohammad Mustaghfirin, Chief Technology Officer of Surge Indonesia, described how Surge has set a global benchmark for self-built broadband operations in transportation using IPv6 Enhanced networking, providing high-quality connectivity. Kenneth Bagarukayo, Commissioner of Data Networks at Uganda’s Ministry of ICT & NG, noted that the implementation of SRv6 has reduced deployment times from two hours to just one minute, enabling a multi-purpose network through slicing.
Meanwhile, Zhang Xianguo, General Manager of Network R&D at DYXnet, revealed the collaborative development of an AI-native ultra-connectivity architecture that allows for elastic scaling and RDMA-based long-distance file transfers, achieving speeds over 20 times faster than traditional TCP.
Looking ahead, Huawei aims to further advance AI-network integration, promoting intelligent transformations across various industries through the Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution. The company is committed to building intelligent, efficient, and reliable deterministic network foundations for its global clientele.
