Leaked Image Offers First Look at Avengers: Doomsday Costumes

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) received an exciting preview of the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday after a leaked image surfaced online, showcasing the various costumes worn by the ensemble cast. This reveal came from a make-up and special effects artist associated with the film, who shared an image of a production wrap gift on Instagram. Following the leak, the artist has since set their account to private, indicating the authenticity of the shared information.
The image features a bag adorned with artwork representing the film’s initial cast of 27 characters, including a new addition, Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm from The Fantastic Four. Fans speculate that the same child actor who portrayed him in the mid-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps will reprise the role in this new installment.
Excitement is building as this marks the first significant glimpse into the costumes that will be featured in one of the most anticipated movies of 2026. Fans are already analyzing the images, with many expressing enthusiasm for the comic book-inspired designs. Discussions on various Reddit threads, including r/MarvelStudios and r/MarvelStudioSpoilers, reveal a positive response to the costumes, particularly for Cyclops’s blue and yellow suit, Nightcrawler’s overall look, and Thor’s updated outfit, which features a return to his shorter hairstyle seen in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War.
In addition to these main characters, the costumes of other significant figures have also attracted attention. The Fantastic Four are depicted wearing jackets, while members of the Thunderbolts sport attire from their recent film’s post-credits scene. Iconic characters such as Namor, M’Baku, Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique are seen in updated versions of their previous costumes from earlier MCU and 20th Century Fox X-Men films.
A point of particular interest is the appearance of Doctor Victor von Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.. The design of his costume, as illustrated in the leaked image, closely resembles another image that circulated in mid-September, hinting at a consistent look for the character. Unless significant changes occur prior to the film’s release, which is scheduled for December 18, 2026, it appears that Doom’s design is set.
As discussions continue across social media platforms, fans are eager to share their thoughts on the revealed costumes. The anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday is palpable, with many speculating about how these new looks will translate to the big screen. The excitement surrounding the film suggests it will be a major highlight in the next chapter of the MCU.
For further updates on Avengers: Doomsday and other Marvel projects, fans are encouraged to stay tuned as more information becomes available.
