Neo Space Group Acquires Display Interactive to Enhance In-Flight Connectivity

Neo Space Group (NSG), a leading commercial space services provider in Saudi Arabia, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Display Interactive (DI), a notable innovator in wireless in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC). This strategic acquisition, confirmed on September 9, 2025, aims to set new standards in in-flight connectivity for airlines and enhance the passenger experience globally.
The integration of Display Interactive into NSG will significantly expand the company’s capabilities in satellite communications and in-flight connectivity. This move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes the need for advanced digital communications to meet growing global demands. By combining NSG’s expertise with DI’s innovative technology, the acquisition is poised to enhance connectivity solutions for airlines while delivering faster and more reliable in-flight internet access to passengers.
Strengthening Aviation Connectivity
NSG and DI have been collaborating since 2023, focusing on product development. Their partnership deepened in May 2024 with the launch of the Skywaves® satellite connectivity system, a significant step towards integrating their technologies. The acquisition of DI marks a pivotal moment in this collaboration, enabling NSG to provide a comprehensive in-flight connectivity solution. This will involve the integration of intelligent traffic management through Skywaves® and a seamless digital experience via NSG’s SkyFly end-user portal.
The new system, supported by the SES Open Orbits™ network, will intelligently route traffic across multiple satellite providers. This ensures uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity for airlines and passengers worldwide, simplifying the deployment of next-generation connectivity solutions. NSG aims to make advanced in-flight connectivity more accessible, working alongside leading aerospace partners to facilitate smooth integration across various airline fleets.
Leadership Perspectives
Martijn Blanken, CEO of NSG, emphasized the importance of innovation in the rapidly evolving in-flight connectivity sector. He stated, “The IFC sector is evolving rapidly, and remaining competitive requires a strong customer focus, continuous innovation, and adaptability. Acquiring DI strengthens our ability to deliver cutting-edge connectivity solutions while ensuring passengers enjoy an unparalleled in-flight experience with seamless connectivity, high-speed internet, and real-time entertainment and communication.”
Tarek El Mitwalli, CEO of Display Interactive, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, noting that joining forces with NSG would allow for scaling their technology and expanding their impact in global aviation. He remarked, “Together, we will push the boundaries of innovation and connectivity in the most agile way.”
In line with its commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, NSG will continue to invest in next-generation satellite and digital technologies. This acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, bolsters NSG’s established capabilities in satellite communications and in-flight connectivity. It reinforces the company’s role as a key player in secure, multi-orbit connectivity and as a catalyst for the Kingdom’s leadership in the global space and aerospace sectors.
