Neo Space Group Acquires Display Interactive to Transform In-Flight Connectivity

Neo Space Group (NSG), backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Display Interactive (DI), a leader in wireless in-flight entertainment and connectivity. This acquisition, confirmed on September 9, 2025, is set to redefine in-flight connectivity (IFC) standards for airlines and passengers globally.
The integration of Display Interactive into NSG will enhance the latter’s capabilities in satellite communications and IFC. This move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes the need for advanced digital communications to support the country’s growing demand in various sectors. With this acquisition, NSG aims to solidify its position as a premier provider of integrated, multi-orbit solutions.
Martijn Blanken, CEO of NSG, highlighted the rapid evolution of the IFC sector, stating, “The IFC sector is evolving rapidly, and remaining competitive requires a strong customer focus, continuous innovation, and adaptability.” He emphasized that acquiring DI will bolster NSG’s ability to deliver cutting-edge connectivity solutions. Passengers can expect seamless connectivity, high-speed internet, and real-time entertainment and communication options as a result of this partnership.
The collaboration between NSG and DI began in 2023, laying the groundwork for future advancements. In May 2024, the two companies launched the Skywaves® satellite connectivity system, which further enhanced their partnership. The acquisition marks a significant step forward, fostering the development of a fully unified IFC solution. This new system combines intelligent traffic management through Skywaves® with a seamless digital passenger experience via the SkyFly end-user portal.
NSG’s innovative approach utilizes the SES Open Orbits™ network, intelligently routing traffic across multiple satellite providers. This ensures uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity for airlines and passengers worldwide. The end-to-end solution simplifies IFC deployment for airlines, providing a more efficient path to next-generation connectivity.
In addition to its technical advancements, NSG aims to collaborate with leading aerospace partners to facilitate smooth integration across airline fleets. This will make advanced IFC more accessible for airlines, enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Tarek El Mitwalli, CEO of Display Interactive, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, “Joining forces with Neo Space Group allows us to open a new chapter, scaling our technology and expanding our impact in global aviation.” He emphasized the partnership’s potential to push the boundaries of innovation and connectivity in the industry.
As part of its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, NSG continues to invest in next-generation satellite and digital technologies. This acquisition not only strengthens NSG’s established capabilities in satellite communications and IFC but also positions it as a key enabler of secure, multi-orbit connectivity. It serves as a catalyst for the Kingdom’s leadership in the global space and aerospace sectors.
The acquisition of Display Interactive is subject to customary closing conditions, but it represents a significant advancement for NSG in the competitive aviation market. For more information about NSG, visit www.neospacegroup.com.
