Ticketek Expands Reach with Acquisition of Eventfinda

Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG) has officially acquired the New Zealand-based ticketing and events discovery platform, Eventfinda. This strategic move aims to enhance TEG’s offerings, particularly for small to mid-tier venues and events. The acquisition enables Eventfinda to maintain its brand identity and operational team, ensuring continuity for its existing users.
In a statement regarding the acquisition, Cameron Hoy, TEG’s chief operating officer and head of global ticketing, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to welcome James and his team into the TEG family,” said Hoy. He added that the partnership presents opportunities for Eventfinda to expand beyond New Zealand and explore new global markets.
The integration of Eventfinda into TEG’s portfolio is expected to provide enhanced ticketing solutions tailored to the needs of smaller venues and event organizers. TEG emphasized that this acquisition will allow for an agile, self-service ticketing platform that offers flexibility and white-label functionality. This approach aims to meet the evolving demands of the live event sector.
Eventfinda has established itself as a trusted platform within New Zealand, facilitating ticket sales and event discovery for numerous events. By joining forces with TEG, the platform is set to leverage TEG’s resources and expertise, bolstering its capacity to serve a broader audience.
As the live event industry continues to recover and evolve in the post-pandemic landscape, TEG’s acquisition of Eventfinda positions both companies for growth and innovation. The combined strengths of these two successful brands are anticipated to enhance the customer experience and streamline operations for venues and organizers alike.
With this acquisition, TEG reinforces its commitment to providing comprehensive solutions within the ticketing landscape. As the company looks to the future, it aims to capitalize on new opportunities in various markets, further solidifying its presence in the global event ticketing industry.
