Turkiye and Azerbaijan Sign Major Energy Cooperation Deal

Turkiye and Azerbaijan have formalized a significant agreement aimed at enhancing their energy collaboration, with Azerbaijan committing to supply 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Turkiye. The agreement, disclosed by Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, specifies that the gas supply will be delivered at a rate of 2.25 billion cubic meters annually. The natural gas will be sourced from the Absheron gas field in Azerbaijan, reflecting the strategic importance of this resource for both nations.
