Howick Family Fun Day Brings Community Together on November 9
The annual Howick Family Fun Day will take place on November 9, 2023, at Howick Domain, inviting families from the community to join in on a day filled with entertainment and activities. Organised by Lawrence Liew and his team from Bayleys Real Estate Howick, the event promises to deliver a vibrant atmosphere from 11:00 to 13:00.
Liew emphasizes the event’s purpose, stating, “We’re bringing the east Auckland community together for another relaxed afternoon of food, fun, and local spirit – and you’re welcome to join us.” This year’s festivities are set to cater to all ages, ensuring that children and adults alike can enjoy a variety of activities.
Activities and Entertainment for All Ages
One of the highlights will be the engagement provided by Howick Rhythmics, which will feature a try-it zone where young children can explore gymnastics equipment under the guidance of experienced coaches. The local club is known for its emphasis on creating a supportive and enjoyable environment for children.
Music will fill the air as Howick Brass performs a selection of family-friendly tunes, while the Neverland Dance Studio showcases captivating dance performances. For younger attendees, a bouncy castle and free face painting will be available, ensuring plenty of fun for children throughout the day.
Food will also play a significant role in the event. A barbecue and sausage sizzle will be offered for a gold coin donation, along with ice creams served by the summer event favourite, Mr Whippy. Liew notes the impressive line-up of food trucks, promising a variety of tasty options for everyone in attendance.
Community Connections and Local Organizations
The event not only focuses on fun but also aims to foster community connections. Liew encourages attendees to bring friends, family, and picnic blankets, stating, “It’s the perfect chance to catch up with neighbours, meet new faces and soak up the friendly east Auckland atmosphere.” For those who may need them, a limited number of picnic blankets will be provided.
Numerous local stallholders will be present to share information about their services and offer giveaways. Participating organizations include Bayleys, Vega Lend, Signature Homes, Shortall Lawyers, Iceblock Home Estimates, Eastern Times, Neverland, and NZ Skin Health.
This event also highlights Liew’s ongoing commitment to community activities, as he and Bayleys Howick have previously supported local initiatives like the Howick Santa Parade, organized by Bo Burns, who is also the owner of Times Media.
The Howick Family Fun Day is expected to be a delightful gathering, reinforcing the sense of community in east Auckland. Families are encouraged to attend and participate in what promises to be an enjoyable day for all.
