Al-Ajami and Abdulla Shine at Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour
The ninth round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour concluded at Al Shaqab on March 15, 2024, showcasing impressive performances across all competition categories. The event featured thrilling podium finishes in the Gold Tour, Open Tour, and Future Riders Tour, highlighting the talents of both seasoned riders and emerging competitors.
Gold Tour Highlights
In the Gold Tour, which featured jumps of 140 cm, Faleh Suwaid Al-Ajami secured first place, demonstrating exceptional skill and control. Close behind, Khalid Al-Hadi finished in second place, showcasing a strong performance as well. The team standings saw Team Wathnan take the top spot, followed by Team Lekhwiya and Team Al Shaqab, both of whom delivered commendable efforts throughout the competition.
Open Tour and Future Riders Tour
The Open Tour, set at 110 cm, featured a standout performance from Abdulla bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who led both the main and junior categories. He was joined on the podium in the main category by Mohammed Al Dal’an in second place and Khalid Al-Hadi in third. In the junior round, Ali Omar Al Ansari and Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani completed the podium, finishing second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, the Future Riders Tour, set at 70 cm, saw Norah bint Jassim Al Thani emerge victorious, showcasing the promising talent of young riders. Notably, Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani achieved both second and third positions in this category, highlighting the competitive spirit of the event.
This round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour not only spotlighted elite competitors but also fostered a sense of community among participants and spectators alike. The event continues to serve as a platform for equestrian excellence in Qatar, drawing attention to the skill and dedication of riders across all levels.
