Al-Ajami and Abdulla Shine at Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour
The ninth round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour took place on March 22, 2024, at Al Shaqab, showcasing remarkable talent across all three competition categories. In the Gold Tour, which features jumps set at 140 cm, Faleh Suwaid Al-Ajami clinched first place, marking a significant achievement in the prestigious tour. Khalid Al-Hadi followed closely, securing the second position.
Team Competitions and Individual Triumphs
In the team standings, Team Wathnan emerged victorious, demonstrating superior skill and coordination. They were joined on the podium by Team Lekhwiya and Team Al Shaqab, finishing in second and third place, respectively. The competitive atmosphere at Al Shaqab highlighted the spirit of teamwork and excellence in equestrian sports.
Moving to the Open Tour, set at a height of 110 cm, Abdulla bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani dominated the main category, showcasing his exceptional riding skills. He was accompanied on the podium by Mohammed Al Dal’an in second place and Khalid Al Hadi once again, who secured the third position. In the junior category of the same tour, Ali Omar Al Ansari and Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani finished in second and third, respectively, underscoring the promising future of young equestrians in Qatar.
Future Riders Tour Highlights
The Future Riders Tour, which features jumps at 70 cm, saw Norah bint Jassim Al Thani claim victory, a noteworthy accomplishment that adds to her growing reputation in the sport. In a remarkable display of versatility, Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani finished in both second and third positions, demonstrating his prowess and determination.
This round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour not only showcased the skills of established riders but also highlighted the emerging talents within Qatar’s equestrian community. The event continues to attract significant attention, promising exciting competitions in the future.
