DOHA: Al Arabi has officially announced the signing of Spanish defender Javier Hernandez on loan from Leganes. The announcement was made on August 29, 2023, through a video shared on the club’s social media channels, showcasing the 27-year-old wearing Al Arabi’s jersey.
Details of the Transfer
Leganes confirmed the agreement, stating on its official website, “An agreement has been reached with Qatari club Al Arabi regarding the loan of defender Javier Hernandez for the 2025/2026 season, with an option to buy at the end of the season.” Hernandez, who joined Leganes in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid, is under contract with the Spanish club until 2027.
Before this move, Hernandez experienced loan spells with Girona during the 2022/2023 season and Cádiz in the 2023/2024 season, showcasing his adaptability in different competitive environments.
