The Qatar Basketball League (QBL) for the 2025-2026 season commenced with impressive wins for Al Rayyan and Al Sadd against Qatar SC and Al Wakrah, respectively. Both matches showcased intense competition and thrilling moments that set an exciting tone for the season ahead.
Season Opener Highlights
In the opening round of Division One, held at Al Gharafa Sports Hall, Al Rayyan secured a victory over Qatar SC with a final score of 97-86. In a closely contested match, Al Rayyan’s performance highlighted their determination and skill, as they maintained a slight edge throughout the game.

The excitement continues as the second round of the QBL is set to kick off on Thursday, October 25. The upcoming matches will feature Qatar SC taking on Al Wakrah, followed by a showdown between Al Arabi and Al Sadd. On Saturday, October 27, Al Gharafa will meet Al Shamal.
The round culminates on Monday, October 29, with a highly anticipated clash between Al Rayyan and Al Ahli. Fans eagerly await these matchups, which promise to deliver further thrilling action as teams vie for supremacy in the league.
