Emirati Players Aim to Shine at FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025
As the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 approaches, the UAE U-17 national team is poised to showcase their skills on an international stage. The tournament, running from November 3 to November 27, 2025, marks a significant milestone in youth football, featuring a record 48 teams for the first time. Qatar will host this competition, along with four consecutive editions through 2029.
UAE’s Group Stage Challenge
Competing in Group C, the UAE team will face tough opponents: Senegal, Croatia, and Costa Rica. Their first match is scheduled for November 3 at Aspire Park’s Pitch 8 against Costa Rica. For these young athletes, participating in this tournament is a dream come true.
Goalkeeper Jassim Al Hammadi expressed his excitement about playing in Qatar, a country that recently hosted a historic edition of the FIFA World Cup. “As a fan, it was a wonderful experience to watch the World Cup in Qatar, and now being able to play and train in the same facilities used by Messi and Ronaldo is really exciting,” he stated. Al Hammadi emphasized the pride he feels representing the UAE, stating, “I want to give my best for the UAE and play for the first team in the future.”
Teammate Abdulrahman Al Awani also shared his aspirations. “This is the first major tournament I will be playing in. I am confident we will do well. I hope to make my family and country proud. Football means everything to me,” he said, highlighting the personal significance of this opportunity.
A Vision for Success
Assistant coach Nawaf Mubarak, a former UAE player, praised Qatar’s exceptional preparations for the tournament. “Qatar hosted an amazing World Cup and showed its capabilities to the world. The sporting infrastructure is impressive. The country is beautiful. Everything from hotels to stadiums, and transportation is world-class,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Mubarak articulated the team’s ambitions: “In this World Cup, we hope to advance as far as possible and to showcase to the world the true potential of our country as strong contenders in international football.” The UAE team aims to leave a lasting impression on the global football community.
The tournament will feature all 104 matches held at the Aspire Zone’s Competition Complex, ensuring a compact and exciting viewing experience. Tickets will be available digitally, with Day Passes priced at just QAR 20, allowing fans to enjoy multiple matches throughout the day alongside cultural and entertainment activities. Supporters of the Qatar National Team can opt for the Follow My Team package to follow the young Maroons through every group stage match.
Accessible tickets, including wheelchair-accessible seats, will be provided throughout the tournament. Requests for these tickets can be submitted to [email protected].
The tournament will conclude on November 27 at the Khalifa International Stadium, with tickets for the final available in two categories, starting from QAR 15. This event is part of an exciting period of elite football competition in Qatar, following the FIFA U-17 World Cup with the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 from December 1-18 and the second edition of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025 on December 10, 13, and 17.
