New GPs Enhance Patient Care at Botany Junction Medical
Botany Junction Medical has welcomed two new general practitioners, Dr. Roimata and Dr. Derryn, to its team, enhancing the quality of care available to local families in Auckland. Both doctors bring a wealth of experience and specialized skills, contributing to a comprehensive approach to patient health.
Introducing Dr. Derryn: Local Expertise
Dr. Derryn, who grew up in east Auckland, offers a unique blend of local insight and medical training. She completed her education at Auckland hospitals and has obtained diplomas in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Palliative Care. Her extensive knowledge allows her to support patients across all age groups.
Dr. Derryn has a particular focus on palliative care, women’s health, and children’s health, while also enjoying the diverse nature of general practice. Her commitment to a holistic approach to healthcare ensures that her patients receive not only medical treatment but also compassionate support.
Welcoming Dr. Roimata: An International Perspective
Joining Dr. Derryn is Dr. Roimata, who brings an international perspective to Botany Junction Medical. Originally from Rarotonga, she trained at the University of Auckland and began her career in Waikato. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Public Health while actively practicing medicine.
Dr. Roimata has a special interest in youth and women’s health, as well as the management of long-term conditions such as diabetes. Her cultural background and understanding of diverse patient needs enrich the services available at the clinic.
Together, Dr. Roimata and Dr. Derryn offer complementary skills that enhance the clinic’s ability to cater to varied health issues. From newborn care to comprehensive women’s health services and long-term condition management, patients can expect a high standard of care.
