Qatar Reveals Sponsors for FIFA Arab Cup and U-17 World Cup 2025
Doha, Qatar: The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 and FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 officially introduced the tournaments’ sponsors during a signing ceremony held at Stadium 974. The event took place on September 27, 2023, and was attended by prominent figures, including HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth and LOC Chairman.
Key Sponsors Announced
During the ceremony, a variety of leading brands were revealed as sponsors for these prestigious tournaments. The sponsors include:
- Visit Qatar, the national tourism promotion agency
- Qatar Airways, the country’s award-winning national carrier
- Alwaha for Cars, a well-known automotive dealership
- Media City Qatar, a global hub for media companies
- Vodafone Qatar, a major telecommunications provider
- GWC, a leading Qatari logistics firm
- Aspetar, an internationally recognized orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital
Additionally, Beyond Hospitality, a global hospitality management company, was named the presenter for the hospitality programme associated with the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. The programme aims to provide fans with a premium tournament experience, featuring exclusive options such as skyboxes.
Significance of the Tournaments
At the signing ceremony, Sheikh Hamad expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their critical role in the success of the upcoming tournaments. He stated, “We extend our sincere gratitude to all our supporters, who will play a critical part in the successful delivery of yet another historic season of football in Qatar. Our partnership with these esteemed brands is a clear reflection of the global appeal and prestige of these competitions, which will bring together fans from across the region and world to celebrate a common passion for football.”
The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 is scheduled to take place from December 1 to 18, 2025, across six World Cup venues. Sixteen teams will compete for the coveted trophy, with nine of the highest-ranked teams qualifying automatically. The remaining seven spots will be filled through qualifiers held in Doha in November.
Qatar is also set to host the FIFA Arab Cup again in 2029 and 2033, solidifying its role as a central hub for international football.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 will occur from November 3 to 27, 2025. This tournament marks the first of five consecutive editions that will be held in Qatar and will feature 48 teams, a historic first in FIFA World Cup history. Matches will be conducted at the Competition Complex in the Aspire Zone, with the final taking place at the renowned Khalifa International Stadium.
With these tournaments, Qatar aims to continue building on its reputation as a premier destination for global sporting events, showcasing its capacity to host large-scale international competitions.
