Qatar Set to Host Final Matches of FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025
Qatar will host the final three matches of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025, a prestigious club competition, in December this year. The announcement was made by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and FIFA, confirming that the matches will take place on December 10, 13, and 17, 2025. This annual tournament will determine the best club in world football, with teams competing for the FIFA Derby of the Americas, FIFA Challenger Cup, and FIFA Intercontinental Cup trophies.
Qatar has a proven track record of successfully hosting this event, having done so in 2019, 2020, and most recently in 2024. The last tournament concluded with Real Madrid emerging as champions in front of a sell-out crowd at the iconic Lusail Stadium, which has a capacity of 80,000 and was also the venue for the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
