Qatar to Host Thrilling MENA Karting Championship in October
The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) will host the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup 2025 at the Lusail Karting Circuit from October 21 to 25, 2025. This marks the third consecutive year that QMMF has organized this prestigious event, following successful editions in 2023 and 2024. The championship aims to elevate the profile of karting in the region, showcasing exceptional motorsport talent.
Competitors and Categories
This year, the championship will feature over 150 drivers representing 18 nations from the Middle East and North Africa. Competitors will come from countries including Qatar, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Iran, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Drivers will compete in six Rotax Max Challenge categories: Micro Max (ages 8–11), Mini Max (ages 10–13), Junior Max (ages 12–15), Senior Max (ages 14+), DD2 (ages 15+), and DD2 Masters (ages 31+). Additionally, the R390 Sprint and R390 Endurance categories are open to drivers aged 15 and above, ensuring a diverse range of competition.
Event Schedule and Activities
The schedule begins with administrative and driver briefings on October 21. Practice sessions will take place on October 22 and 23, accompanied by a formal Welcome Ceremony and Gala Dinner. The main racing events will occur from October 24 to 25, featuring qualifying sessions, heats, the R390 Endurance race, Pre-Finals, and Finals. The championship will conclude with the Awards Ceremony and the MENA Nations Cup Presentation on the evening of October 25.
Admission to the event is free, inviting spectators to experience the excitement firsthand. A dedicated shuttle service will be available between General Admission Parking and the karting track. Attendees can also enjoy a vibrant entertainment zone featuring racing simulators, a radio-controlled car circuit, PlayStation 5 gaming stations, and a 360-degree photo booth. For those unable to attend in person, all races will be streamed live on the QMMF’s official YouTube channel.
In 2024, Lebanon claimed the MENA Nations Cup title, followed closely by Morocco in second place and the United Arab Emirates in third. With the standards set high from previous years, this upcoming championship promises another thrilling showcase of regional motorsport and national pride.
