Qatar’s national youth athletics team is preparing for the 11th Arab U-18 Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place in Tunis, Tunisia, from August 23 to 27, 2025. The event will showcase a diverse range of talent from across the Arab world, emphasizing the region’s commitment to developing young athletes.

The Qatari delegation will be led by Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, President of the Qatar Athletics Federation. The team is set to depart for Tunisia with high aspirations of delivering standout performances that highlight the progress of Qatari athletics on an international stage.

Promising Athletes Representing Qatar

The Qatari squad features ten promising athletes who will compete in various track and field events. Among them are Idris Abkar and Hussein Mohammed, who will participate in the 110m hurdles. Mubarak Saeed will take on the 1500m, while Samer Hussein will run the 400m. The team also includes Timo Jumaa, who will compete in both the 100m and 200m hurdles, and Saleh Mahmoud, who will showcase his skills in the shot put and discus throw.

Additionally, Younes Al Baloushi and Abdullah Al Abdullah will represent Qatar in the pole vault. Each athlete arrives at this championship with dedication and determination, aiming to achieve personal bests and contribute to the team’s overall success.
