Teams Arrive in Qatar for Exciting FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025
The U-17 teams from Argentina, Austria, and Costa Rica have arrived in Doha, Qatar, as preparations intensify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025. The tournament, which marks a historic milestone as the first-ever 48-team World Cup, will kick off on November 3, 2025, and run until November 27, 2025.
Teams and Group Matchups
The Austrian U-17 team was the first to land, arriving at Hamad International Airport on November 1. They have been drawn into Group L alongside Mali, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia. Austria will commence their tournament on November 5 against Saudi Arabia, who recently finished as runners-up in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.
Costa Rica, which landed on November 2, is placed in Group C with Senegal, Croatia, and the United Arab Emirates. The team is set to play their opening match on November 3 against the UAE, a team that reached the quarterfinals in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.
Argentina’s U-17 squad arrived later and is grouped in Group D with Belgium, Fiji, and Tunisia. They will start their campaign on November 3 against Belgium, a match expected to draw significant attention.
