Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha Faces Severe Blood Infection in Hospital

The health condition of **Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol**, the eldest daughter of the Thai King, has deteriorated significantly as she battles a severe blood infection. The palace announced on Friday that the princess has been unconscious in hospital for over two years, following a heart condition that emerged during a military dog training session in Nakhon Ratchasima, located north of Bangkok.
In an official statement, the Bureau of the Royal Household provided an update on the princess’ status, marking the first communication regarding her health in recent years. “The doctors have reported that the Princess’ lungs and kidneys have been functioning with support from medical devices and medication,” the statement confirmed.
Since August 9, 2025, the medical team has been monitoring a severe infection in the princess’ bloodstream. In response, they have begun administering antibiotics and medication to stimulate blood pressure, aiming to maintain stable levels. The statement reflects the ongoing challenges faced by the medical team as they manage her complex health issues.
