The opening match featured Iraq against Yemen at Aspire Zone, starting at 14:45, while the host nation Qatar is set to begin its campaign tomorrow against Kuwait.

Leading Qatar’s U-23 national team, Ilídio Vale, expressed the significance of the tournament during a press conference. “The tournament means a lot to us. Our team is developing, and our players are ready to compete with the goal of winning,” he stated. Vale noted that this competition serves as a vital preparatory stage ahead of the 2024 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia.
