Albi & The Wolves Launch Fun-Raiser Tour Before European Debut
Award-winning folk band Albi & The Wolves is set to embark on a unique fundraising journey, launching their “Fun-Raiser Tour” to support their upcoming debut tour across Europe and the United Kingdom in 2026. The tour will kick off in Warkworth and span 17 dates, concluding in Dunedin. This initiative aims to rally their local fan base as the band prepares to take their lively music to international audiences.
Fronted by the charismatic Chris Dent, known for his distinct appearance as a proud albino and his powerful voice, Albi & The Wolves have gained recognition for their exhilarating live performances. The band’s lineup includes Pascal Roggen, whose electrifying violin adds a dynamic flair, often played while engaging with the audience, and rhythm section members Micheal Young on double bass and Hannah De Koster on drums, who create an infectious groove that keeps the energy alive.
The Fun-Raiser Tour will feature a collection of their alternative folk songs that explore themes of love, life, and resilience, even during challenging times. In their own words, the band invites audiences to “Rebel against AI, leave your phone at home, and enjoy something real.” Their performances emphasize being fully present and engaged with the music.
Since their formation, Albi & The Wolves have made significant strides in the music scene. They received the title of Best Folk Artist for their debut album, One Eye Open, and have collaborated with major artists, including EDM duo Mt Eden Dubstep. The band has also shared the stage with renowned New Zealand musician Dave Dobbyn, played at the acclaimed WOMAD NZ festival, and appeared on Cook Islands Television News.
The band will perform at Tahi Bar in Warkworth on October 31, 2023, at 19:00. This show marks a crucial step in their journey as they prepare to expand their reach into the European music scene.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to attend the Fun-Raiser Tour, which not only promises an evening of unforgettable music but also plays a vital role in funding their exciting international ambitions. As Albi & The Wolves continue to build their reputation for high-energy performances, their journey serves as a reminder of the power of music to unite and inspire.
