Bhartiya Samaj Trust Celebrates 23rd Summer Camp for Children
Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust has successfully wrapped up its 23rd annual Summer Camp in 2026, reinforcing its commitment to children’s safety, wellbeing, and personal development. The camp attracted over 100 children, who engaged in a structured programme designed to foster holistic growth through education, health awareness, and physical activity.
The initiative, established over two decades ago, has become a trusted platform for preventive learning and community-driven youth development. This year’s camp featured a diverse array of educational and skill-building sessions. Participants took part in a Personality Development workshop led by Godrej Sir, along with Brainobrain activities aimed at enhancing mental agility and concentration. Additionally, children attended a Drowning Prevention and water safety workshop, as well as a community safety session conducted by the New Zealand Police.
Children also enjoyed creative pursuits such as dance, art and craft, alongside sports and exercise sessions that promoted fitness and healthy lifestyle habits. A notable highlight of the camp was an educational visit to Drury Fresh Ltd, hosted by Pabla ji and his family. This experience provided participants with first-hand exposure to agricultural operations and community enterprise, complemented by organized hospitality.
Reflecting on the significance of this milestone, Jeet Suchdev, Chairperson of Bhartiya Samaj, remarked, “For 23 years, this programme has focused on building confidence, safety awareness, and life skills through consistent community-led engagement.”
The Summer Camp stands as a flagship initiative of the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust, highlighting its sustained dedication to nurturing young people and enhancing community wellbeing through long-term, youth-focused programmes. As the camp concludes, its impact on the lives of participating children and the broader community continues to resonate.
