The Otago Daily Times has launched its annual “Magic Moments” photo competition, inviting readers to share their most cherished holiday images. This contest runs from December 26, 2025, to January 10, 2026, providing an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their creativity and connect with the community.
Individuals can submit only one entry each, making the competition accessible to all. The winning photographs will be revealed in the Otago Daily Times on January 12, 2026. Prizes include a first-place award of a $100 voucher and an A3 canvas print of the winning photograph. Additionally, the second prize will also receive an A3 canvas print of their photo, while the third-place winner will take home an ODT puzzle featuring the iconic Dunedin Railway Station.
Exclusive Benefits for Participants
All entrants whose photographs are published in the competition will have the chance to receive an original file enlargement. Participants can visit Jonathan’s Photo Warehouse in Dunedin to claim this exclusive offer, enhancing their images with a professional touch.
The “Magic Moments” competition not only allows individuals to share their festive experiences but also fosters community spirit through the celebration of local talent. This initiative encourages families and friends to engage with one another and share the joy of the holiday season through photography.
Interested participants are encouraged to gather their favorite holiday images and submit their entries before the January 10 deadline. This is a wonderful chance to capture the essence of the season and gain recognition for your photographic skills.
