Dunedin Area Hosts Series of Election Forums This Week

Residents of the Dunedin Area have the opportunity to participate in a series of election forums hosted by the Dunedin Area Citizens Association Inc. These meetings will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM at various local venues, allowing community members to engage directly with candidates and discuss pressing issues.
The schedule for the forums is as follows:
– Tonight, September 2, at Pioneer Hall in Port Chalmers
– Tomorrow, September 3, at the Macandrew Bay community hall
– On Wednesday, September 4, at the Kaikorai Valley Bowling Club
– Finally, on Thursday, September 5, at North East Valley Normal School
These forums represent an important opportunity for voters to hear directly from candidates about their platforms and policies. Engaging in these discussions can help residents make informed decisions ahead of the upcoming elections.
The local newspaper, The Star, will feature coverage of these election forums each week. For those interested in listing additional forums, please reach out to Brenda Harwood at [email protected].
As the election date approaches, active participation in these forums will be crucial for fostering a well-informed electorate in the Dunedin Area.
