Lance Robinson Excited for Triple Chance in $100,000 Polytrack Championship

Trainer Lance Robinson is gearing up for a significant event in horse racing as he prepares to enter three runners in New Zealand’s richest synthetic track race, the Polytrack Championship. Taking place at Riccarton on March 16, 2024, this race offers a total prize pool of $100,000 and is highly anticipated within the racing community.
Robinson, a strong proponent of synthetic track racing, expressed his enthusiasm about the event. “The Polytrack Championship is great, especially for the lower-grade horses,” he stated. He emphasized the importance of having such opportunities at this time of year, noting that the presence of a $100,000 purse significantly benefits trainers and horses alike.
His team has qualified three runners for the 1200m championship: Delphillius, Elusive Impact, and Sonnet. This achievement positions Robinson alongside Balcairn trainers John and Karen Parsons, who also have three runners in the field. Robinson takes pride in this equal representation, stating, “It is good that we have qualified three horses for it.”
The synthetic track has proven to be a vital component of the racing landscape, especially during transitional seasons. “We wouldn’t have half of the horses in work if it wasn’t for the polytrack,” Robinson added. He highlighted how it allows for earlier preparation for spring races, which can be particularly beneficial for trainers and owners looking to maximize their horses’ potential.
As the Polytrack Championship approaches, Robinson’s focus remains on the performance of his horses. Each competitor brings unique strengths to the track, and the anticipation builds as the race day draws closer. The event is set to attract enthusiasts and participants eager to see how the runners fare in this prestigious competition.
Overall, Robinson’s proactive stance on synthetic racing continues to resonate within the industry, showcasing the advantages that such tracks offer to both trainers and horses. As the day of the Polytrack Championship arrives, all eyes will be on Riccarton to see if Robinson’s trio can secure a victory in this high-stakes race.
