The event, organized by Josie Spillane, came in memory of her friend Louise Scott-Gallagher, who lost her battle with breast cancer. During the day, Lawson took the wheel of remarkable vehicles, including the Aston Martin Vulcan—the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere—and the Porsche GT3. Participants had the chance to bid for rides in these cars during a silent auction, which significantly contributed to the overall fundraising total.

More than $32,000 was raised solely from the hot laps in the Vulcan, showcasing the event’s success and the community’s commitment to the cause. Craig Gallagher, Scott-Gallagher’s husband, praised both Lawson’s involvement and the impressive sum raised, noting the impact it could have on breast cancer research and awareness.
