This landmark event will take place at the High Commission of India Auditorium Hall in Wellington and will run from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The conference, supported by the HOTA Forum New Zealand, is themed “Promoting Women – Strengthening Communities” and aims to empower Hindu women by celebrating their achievements while addressing the challenges they face.

The program will include keynote addresses from both national and international speakers, along with panel discussions focusing on leadership and decision-making. Cultural performances will showcase the rich heritage of Hindu traditions, and there will be an opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions made by Hindu women in various fields. Plenary sessions will delve into important topics such as partnerships with government agencies, the role of women in public leadership, and the engagement of Hindu women in academia, media, and community organizations.

The day will commence with prayers from both Māori and Hindu traditions, setting a tone of inclusivity and respect. An inaugural session will feature dignitaries, including Her Excellency Neeta Bhushan, the High Commissioner of India to New Zealand. Officials from the Ministry for Women, Ministry for Ethnic Communities, Ministry of Social Development, and the New Zealand Police have also been invited to attend.
