Howick Family Fun Day Invites Community to Celebrate Together
The annual Howick Family Fun Day is set to take place at Howick Domain on November 9, 2023, from 11:00 to 13:00. This beloved community event, organized by Lawrence Liew and his team from Bayleys Real Estate Howick, promises a delightful afternoon filled with food, entertainment, and activities for families in East Auckland.
A Day of Community and Entertainment
Residents are encouraged to come together for a day that celebrates local spirit and community engagement. “We’re bringing the East Auckland community together for another relaxed afternoon of food, fun, and local spirit – and you’re welcome to join us,” said Liew.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of entertainment options suitable for all ages. The Howick Rhythmics will host a try-it zone where children can explore gymnastics equipment under the guidance of experienced coaches. This family-oriented club is known for fostering a supportive environment for local youth.
In addition to gymnastics, the event will feature performances from Howick Brass, showcasing a repertoire of family-friendly music. Dancers from Neverland Dance Studio will also take the stage, adding to the lively atmosphere.
Fun Activities and Local Delicacies
For younger attendees, a bouncy castle and free face painting will be available, ensuring plenty of fun. Liew mentioned that a barbecue and sausage sizzle will be provided for a gold coin donation, alongside treats from the popular summer ice-cream vendor Mr Whippy.
“The food truck line-up is very good, with lots of tasty bites for everyone,” Liew added, encouraging families to bring friends and picnic blankets to enjoy the day. There will also be giveaways and prizes from local stallholders, including Bayleys, Vega Lend, Signature Homes, Shortall Lawyers, Iceblock Home Estimates, Eastern Times, Neverland, and NZ Skin Health.
This year’s event not only promises to be a fun-filled day but also serves as an opportunity for community members to connect, meet new faces, and strengthen local ties. Liew, along with Bayleys Howick, has been a consistent supporter of community events, including the Howick Santa Parade, which is organized by Bo Burns, the owner of Times Media.
The Howick Family Fun Day is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the joy of coming together. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the festivities.
