Firefighters from Fire and Emergency New Zealand quickly mobilized, initially dispatching two fire trucks—one from Frankton and another from Queenstown. A third truck from Queenstown was later sent to provide additional support.
The scene was marked by thick plumes of grey smoke, as emergency crews worked diligently to bring the fire under control. Witnesses reported seeing flames engulfing parts of the clubhouse, which also houses a shop and community facilities.
As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been reported. Firefighters continue to monitor the situation and assess the extent of the damage.
