Police Arrest Multiple Individuals During Rotorua Gang Tangi

Police arrested several individuals during a tangi, or funeral, for Zain Taikato-Fox in Rotorua on March 16, 2024. The 20-year-old died in Rotorua Hospital after being found critically injured by four men who claimed they discovered him on the roadside. His death has sparked significant attention, particularly due to the associations with gang culture reflected in online tributes, which feature images of Taikato-Fox adorned with Mongrel Mob facial tattoos and attire.
