Police Investigate Discovery of Body in Arkles Bay, Auckland

A body was discovered in the water at Arkles Bay, located near Whangaparāoa, approximately 40 kilometers north of Auckland’s central business district. The New Zealand Police confirmed the finding occurred on the morning of September 29, 2023, following an alert from a member of the public at around 6:50 AM.
The deceased individual, whose identity remains unknown, was recovered from the water by emergency services. Authorities are now focused on determining the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.
