Search Intensifies for Missing Auckland Woman Te Anihana Pomana

The search for 25-year-old Te Anihana Beau Pomana, who has been missing for over two weeks, continues with no new developments. Te Anihana was last captured on security footage leaving the SkyCity Hotel in Auckland at 5:06 AM on August 21, 2023. Her family and authorities remain committed to locating her, despite the lack of significant leads.
Yesterday, on September 4, 2023, Catherine Anderson, Te Anihana’s mother, made an emotional appeal to the public for any information regarding her daughter’s whereabouts. Accompanied by Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend, Anderson addressed the media, expressing her determination to find her daughter. “We’re here because we’re determined to find her,” Anderson stated, urging anyone who may have seen Te Anihana to come forward. “Someone must have seen her.”
Te Anihana’s disappearance has prompted a large-scale search operation. Local authorities have been working diligently to investigate potential leads, including reviewing surveillance footage from the area surrounding the hotel. Despite the intensive efforts, officials report that they have not yet uncovered any new evidence that could provide clarity on her situation.
The Auckland community has rallied around the search. Flyers featuring Te Anihana’s photo and details about her last known whereabouts have been distributed across the city. Local residents have expressed their concern and support for the family, hoping for a positive outcome.
Detective Senior Sergeant Friend has emphasized the importance of public assistance in cases like this. “Every piece of information, no matter how small, can be crucial in helping us locate Te Anihana,” he said. Authorities encourage anyone with information to reach out to the police or contact local helplines.
As the search continues, Anderson remains hopeful. She has spent the past two weeks in Auckland, actively participating in the search efforts and seeking support from the community. “We just want her home,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Te Anihana or has any information about her disappearance to contact the Auckland police. As the investigation unfolds, the hope remains that Te Anihana will be found safe and returned to her family.
