Three Rescued After Boat Capsizes at Port Waikato
Emergency services rescued three individuals following a boat capsizing incident at Port Waikato on October 8, 2023. The New Zealand Police reported receiving alerts regarding the overturned vessel shortly after 07:15 local time, north of Sunset Beach.
In response to the situation, multiple agencies, including police, Surf Life Saving New Zealand, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, mobilized to the scene to assist with the rescue efforts.
