beIN Media Group Renews NBA Broadcast Deal for MENA Region
beIN Media Group has renewed its broadcast partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), ensuring that NBA games will continue to be aired across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This agreement extends a successful collaboration that has lasted for over 17 years, with beIN having held broadcasting rights in the region since 2008.
Extensive Coverage for Fans
The renewed partnership encompasses a wide range of NBA content, including regular-season games, the NBA Playoffs, Conference Finals, and the NBA Finals. Fans in the MENA region will benefit from extensive multilingual coverage in Arabic, English, and French, available on beIN’s flagship sports channels, beIN SPORTS, and its premium streaming service, TOD.
Mohammad Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “Our broadcast partnership with the NBA is one of the longest and most valued in our portfolio. We are proud to continue bringing the best of basketball to audiences across the MENA region.” He further noted that this renewal reinforces beIN’s commitment to delivering world-class sports coverage across multiple platforms.
Global Reach and Future Plans
Matt Brabants, NBA Senior Vice President and Head of International Content Partnerships, expressed excitement about the extended collaboration. “We’re proud to extend our broadcast partnership with beIN MENA to bring the excitement of the NBA to fans across the Middle East and North Africa,” Brabants remarked. He highlighted that fans will enjoy unprecedented access to live games, highlights, and original content in multiple languages.
Additionally, beIN has recently extended its NBA broadcasting rights in France, where it has been an official broadcaster since 2012. With this latest agreement, beIN now holds official NBA broadcasting rights in a total of 23 countries.
This renewal not only strengthens beIN’s position within the global sports broadcasting landscape but also underscores the growing popularity of basketball in the MENA region. By continuing to provide comprehensive coverage of the NBA, beIN aims to engage the region’s passionate basketball fanbase effectively.
