Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club to Host Major Horse Show in December
The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) is set to host the 5th Doha International Arabian Horse Show from December 19 to 22, 2025. This prestigious event will take place at the main arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation in Doha, showcasing the beauty and athleticism of Arabian horses.
Competition Details and Prize Money
This year’s show will feature a remarkable lineup of 222 horses from four countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The first three days will consist of qualifying competitions for colts, fillies, mares, and stallions. The final day is reserved for the championship events, where the overall champions will be determined across the various participating classes.
During the championships, medals will be awarded in gold, silver, and bronze categories. Each championship will offer substantial prize money, with QR120,000 for first place, QR90,000 for second, and QR70,000 for third. The total prize fund for the show amounts to QR3.915 million, which will be distributed among various class competitions and the championship finals.
Notable Participants
Prominent studs from Qatar participating in the event include Al Shaqab Stud, Al Sraiya Stud, Al Khor Stud, Al Jaham Stud, Al Amer Stud, Al Yaqoub Stud, and Umm Al Adham Stud. International representation will feature Al Khawolid Stud, Nasser bin Khaled Nasser Aludail, and Rayan Alsayqal from Saudi Arabia, as well as Mohamed Ahmed Alhayki and Abdulla Al-Mudahka from Bahrain, along with Talal Al Rashidi and the Al Shuraian & Al Rasman Stud from Kuwait.
This event promises to be a significant occasion for equestrian enthusiasts and a showcase of the rich heritage of Arabian horse breeding. As the date approaches, anticipation builds for what is expected to be a highlight on the equestrian calendar.
